Entrepreneurs Only Need to Manage Three Things to Grow

As an entrepreneur, its easy to get overwhelmed trying to follow everyone’s advice.

Everyone has an opinion.

But if you can find the nuts and bolts of a simple strategy it will be much more manageable.

Here are three simple keys to organizing and managing your growth that I learned from two high level entrepreneurs.

For years I recall Gary Vaynerchuk talking about the “religion” of entrepreneurship.

Then, as a member of Self Coaching Scholars from Brooke Castillo, I heard her say many times that business was simple “math” and “drama”

So I want to put these three keys together for you:

• Math
• Religion
• Drama

“Math” is understanding the critical numbers that move your business forward.

As Peter Drucker says, “what gets measured, gets managed.”

If you are not measuring the important numbers or KPI’s how can you decide what actions you need to focus on?

Next we look into the “religion” of your business. These are the actio you do daily or weekly irregardless of your thoughts or feelings.

The “religion” of your business can also be described as your daily discipline, habits or processes.

When you pay attention to your religion you also can directly affect the math of your goal numbers.

And lastly we have the “drama.”

Drama is the reality of stress, uncertainty and natural chaos that we all deal with.

But as an entrepreneur, you need to manage the drama and while continuing you execute the religion of your business.

It’s natural to freak out.

It’s natural the buckle under stress, change your plans and shift in fight or flight.

Yes it’s natural. But not beneficial.

If you want to grow, you have to go beyond nature and do what’s best.

Focus on managing the math, religion, and drama of your world and you can see your business grow.
