Are you overwhelmed with opportunity?

Are you on the brink of success?

If so, I hope this article helps.

Ever heard of the fear of success and thought it was strange?

“How could anyone be afraid the exact thing they want?”

Well… I find it’s not only common, it actually makes perfect sense.

Before I figured this out, I was a victim of success.

I’d get overwhelmed when good things happen.

I got anxious when the multiple requests came in.

I buckled under the weight of new responsibility.

Eventually, I discovered how both success and failure, abundance and scarcity move you out from your comfort zone.

I saw that anything that threatens your sense of control and security will bring stress and anxiety.

If you are not prepared for success you’ll fight it.

You’ll do whatever it takes to return to safety.

“We’re loosing control.” your mind will say.

Then it’ll subtly sabotage.

The truth is… you are loosing control.

To move forward with a greater capacity you need to ‘share’ control.

To not get overwhelmed with opportunity you need to trust people.

Leverage people.

Coaches. Advisors. Specialist. Consultants. etc.

Your independence can only handle so much.

Independence will stunt you.

And I’m not talked about Fiverr!!

If you only delegate the least important work or find the cheapest labor you can’t grow.

Only when you find people smarter and outsourcing or delegating to them will you find a breakthrough.

Surrounding yourself in rooms where you’re the least successful will stretch you.

First people. Second systems.

Systems — /ˈsistəm/ (noun) a set of principles or procedures according to which something is done; an organized scheme or method.

System give you consistency, predictability, reduced cognitive stress.

“People can’t live with change if there’s not a changeless core inside them. The key to the ability to change is a changeless sense of who you are, what you are about and what you value.” — — Stephen Covey, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Systems in your life build a changeless core.

At Chatbot Funnels, we’ve found that marketing systems help clients reduce manual processes and allow sustained growth.

It helps them handle increased success.

Similarly, a personal system could be having core values.

A life’s vision.

A philosophy.

Or like Simon Sinek calls it, knowing your why.

These principles keeps your direction in line no matter how you pivot day to day.

Morning routines are another type of system.

Starting your day for optimal physical, emotional and spiritual health bring a foundation of order and momentum.

Both people and systems keep you moving forward.

They help you handle chaos and discomfort which are inevitable when success takes you into new levels.
